23/02/2026 - Superannuation Comparison
The Queensland Local Government Regulation 2012 requires that Councils pay their staff a minimum base rate of 12.00% for superannuation. Some Councils pay superannuation over and above the base rate. The following table shows the amount of superannuation actually paid by each Council (as specified in the Certified Agreements). Amounts above the 12.00% base rate are shown in bold.

18/02/2025 - WPI figures for December Quarter 2025
The WPI figures for the December Quarter 2025 have been released and all information, charts and tables on the site have been updated.
Key Statistics:- The public sector Wage Price Index (WPI) rose 0.90% this quarter.
- Over the twelve months to the December 2025 quarter, the public sector WPI rose 3.90%.

28/01/2026 - CPI figures for December Quarter 2025
The CPI figures for the December Quarter 2025 have been released and all information, charts and tables on the site have been updated.
Key Statistics:- The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Brisbane rose 0.90% this quarter.
- Over the previous twelve months the Brisbane CPI rose 5.20%.
- The Noosa Shire Council Certified Agreement specified a wage increase of 4.00% or CPI for 22/02/2026. The CPI increase of 5.20% has now been used for all information, charts and tables.

5/12/2025 - Gympie Regional Council Certified Agreement 2025
The new Gympie Regional Council Certified Agreement for 2025 was certified by the QIRC on the 5th of December. You can find the agreement here: Local Government Agreements.
Wage Increases:- 01/05/2025: 3.50% or $55.00 per week
- 01/05/2026: 4.25% or $65.00 per week
- 01/05/2027: 4.25% or $65.00 per week

19/11/2025 - WPI figures for September Quarter 2025
The WPI figures for the September Quarter 2025 have been released and all information, charts and tables on the site have been updated.
Key Statistics:- The public sector Wage Price Index (WPI) rose 1.00% this quarter.
- Over the twelve months to the September 2025 quarter, the public sector WPI rose 3.80%.

31/10/2025 - Redland City Council Certified Agreement 2025
The new Redland City Council Officers Certified Agreement for 2025 was certified by the QIRC on the 31st of October. You can find the agreement here: Local Government Agreements.
Wage Increases:- 01/07/2025: 5.00%
- 01/05/2026: 4.50%
- 01/05/2027: 3.25% or CPI [Capped at 3.50%]
- 01/05/2028: 3.00% or CPI [Capped at 4.50%]
The agreement nominally expires on the 1st of May 2028, however can be extended for a further 12 months at the listed wage increase if the parties agree in writing.

24/10/2025 - Noosa Shire Council Certified Agreement 2025
The new Noosa Shire Council Certified Agreement 2025 was certified by the QIRC on the 24th of October. You can find the agreement here: Local Government Agreements.
Wage Increases:- 22/02/2025: 6.50% or CPI
- 22/02/2026: 4.00% or CPI
- 22/02/2027: 4.00% or CPI
